How your information is handled here.

Woodard Digital Studio (“WDS,” “I,” or “the studio”) is a one-person design and strategy practice operated by Megan Woodard. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit woodarddigital.studio or contact me through the site, how that information is used, who else may see it, and what choices you have about it.

The site is intended for adults. It is not designed for, and does not knowingly collect information from, children under 13.

When you submit the contact form on this site, the following fields are stored:

• First name and last name
• Email address
• Company (optional)
• Title (optional)
• Project details (free text)
• Budget range
• Timeline (optional)
• Timestamp of submission

I use this information for one purpose: to read your inquiry and reply to it personally. It is not used for marketing, sold, shared, or combined with data from other sources.

Form submissions are stored in a content management system called Sanity, hosted by Sanity.io. Only I have access to this data. Sanity's own privacy practices are described at sanity.io/legal/privacy.

When a submission arrives, a notification email is sent to me via Resend, an email-delivery service. Resend processes the email contents long enough to deliver the message and then discards it. Resend's privacy policy is at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

This site uses two third-party services to understand how people experience it. Neither service is used to advertise to you, and neither one is shared with anyone outside the studio.

• Google Analytics 4 tracks aggregate site traffic: how many people visit, which pages they look at, where they came from, and the type of device they used. GA4 uses cookies and similar identifiers and may collect a truncated form of your IP address. Google's policies are at policies.google.com/privacy.
• CrazyEggrecords anonymized session activity (heatmaps of where people click and scroll, and occasional session recordings) so I can see where the site is working and where it's not. CrazyEgg does not capture form input or other personally identifiable information from input fields. Their policy is at crazyegg.com/privacy.

You can opt out of GA4 tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control in your browser. Both tools are honored where supported.

This site uses cookies for two reasons: to make Google Analytics and CrazyEgg work, and to remember your form input if a submission fails so you don't have to retype. No cookies are used for advertising or to track you across other websites.

Contact submissions are kept in Sanity for as long as the conversation remains useful, typically the duration of an active prospect relationship plus a reasonable record of past projects (around three years). You can request earlier deletion at any time (see below).

Analytics data follows the retention defaults set by each provider (GA4: 14 months by default; CrazyEgg: 13 months for recordings).

Regardless of where you live, you can ask me to:

• Tell you what information I have about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your information entirely
• Stop using your information for any purpose other than replying to your inquiry

If you're in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK-GDPR, and CCPA respectively, including the right to request a copy of your data in a portable format, and the right to lodge a complaint with a regulator. I'll honor all of those requests on the same timeline as any other deletion request.

Everything sent to or stored on this site uses HTTPS in transit. Sanity and Resend handle data encryption at rest. The Sanity dataset is protected by an access token that is never exposed to the browser. I review access regularly.

No system is perfectly secure. If you become aware of a security concern with this site, please email me at megan@woodarddigital.studio.

I update this policy when the site's data practices change. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material updates may also be announced in a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
